As a Senior Structuring Specialist with strong experience in Cross Border Investment structures, you will play a pivotal role in the establishment and management of investment funds, optimizing our tax positions and minimizing tax risks associated with our investment strategies. This position requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in international tax planning, structuring, and compliance, as well as a keen understanding of the financial and regulatory aspects of the industry. This position requires expertise in fund structuring, legal compliance, and collaboration with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of innovative fund structures and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Tax Planning and Strategy:



  • Lead the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize the overall tax position of the organization.

  • Collaborate with the risk and investment team and legal counsel to align tax strategies with the firm's broader objectives.


Fund Formation:



  • Lead the structuring and formation of new investment funds, considering legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with the relevant teams to ensure alignment with the firm's strategic goals.


Legal Compliance:



  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and ensure fund structures comply with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Work closely with legal counsel to address compliance issues and mitigate risks.


Document Drafting:



  • Prepare and review legal documents related to fund formation, including private placement memoranda, limited partnership agreements, and subscription documents.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all fund-related documentation.


Tax Optimization:



  • Collaborate with tax advisors to optimize fund structures for tax efficiency.

  • Implement strategies to enhance returns and minimize tax implications for investors.


Investor Relations Support:



  • Work closely with the investor relations team to address fund structuring inquiries from potential and existing investors.

  • Provide clear and concise explanations of fund structures to investors.


Risk Mitigation:



  • Identify potential risks associated with fund structures and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.

  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure risk management protocols are in place.


Due Diligence:



  • Support due diligence processes related to fund structures during fundraising and investment activities.

  • Provide insights and analysis to inform decision-making.


Collaboration:



  • Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, compliance, and investment teams, to ensure seamless coordination throughout the fund structuring process.

  • Engage with external legal and financial advisors as needed.


TIME RECORDING:



  • Accurately record chargeable time and value of service, ensure effective monitoring of transactions, handle pricing, invoicing and collection of outstanding fees for the portfolio of clients.

  • Monitor own productivity and chargeability on weekly basis and review productivity and performance against targets. to ensure that individual financial targets and client communication KPIs are met.

  • Follow a disciplined approach to submitting timesheets for client work and meet the weekly and monthly time/ chargeability targets


OTHER DUTIES



  • Undertake the role of director, nominee, manager, partner, secretary, authorized signatory or any related position in internal entities or client entities of the Group, where necessary and required by the Management.

  • Undertake such other duties, related to the position, as may from time to time be agreed with Management.
