The role holder is responsible for translating financial reports of Banks, Insurance, Non-Financial Banks Institutions (NBFI), and International Public Finance (IPF) companies from native language to English.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Produce at least two or more translations of native reports daily.

  • Ensure that all necessary information in the financial report is translated so there will be no errors during the analysis stage.

  • Perform non-financial and financial checking on all financial reports before translating to assure good quality.

  • Check if all English terms used in the translation are correct using translation guidelines. Prior translation can be used as a template or a guide, but should not solely rely on it. There are also translating tools such as Google and Bing translator that can aid in the translation process.

  • Ensure that all translations for native reports are stored in Fitch Database Group's (FDG’s) database and local storage (Local Server).

  • Keep track of all translated accounts and consolidate them into a single report at the end of the working day so that Fitch Team Leader can monitor day-to-day translations.

  • Communicate effectively with the Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader and FDG on any issues and concerns about the financial reports being translated.

  • Investigate queries and errors identified by FDG. Errors can be disputed by Amicorp.

  • Process additional tasks or special translation projects from Fitch and Team Leaders apart from the daily production.

  • Required to translate native and secured PDFs so translator must know how to read and write foreign language characters such as Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.

  • Perform additional SOPs after each account is translated


OTHER DUTIES



  • Undertake the role of director, trustee, nominee, manager, partner, secretary, authorized signatory or any related position in internal entities or client entities of Amicorp Group, where necessary and required by the Management.

  • Undertake such other duties, as may from time to time, be required by the Management or/ and Group Human Resources.


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience



  • Candidate must at least attain college level at the minimum; university degree is preferred.

  • Candidate must have learned a native language from a respectable school. Language skills certificate is not required but is a definite edge.

  • Knowledge of any of the following native languages: Spanish, Korean, Japan, Chinese, Taiwanese or Bahasa Language.

  • Able to comprehend, read and write at least one native language within the native countries allocated by FDG (China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Indonesia, New Caledonia, and French Polynesia).

  • Knowledge of writing and reading characters. where candidates are applying as translator for countries using language characters such as Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese and Korean

  • Excellent client facing skills. Well-developed spoken and written communication skills and the ability to tailor style to relevant audiences, and successfully liaise with people at different levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, solution driven, highly organized and detail-orientated with good decision making and time management skills. Independent, hands-on and takes accountability to deliver solutions and results.

  • Ability to adapt and work in a smaller, dynamic local team environment; along with being part of a bigger matrix organization. Proven team player skills, with ambition to excel in the role.
