Amicorp Group has been granted an Investment Fund Manager and Financial Trustee license in Uruguay, strengthening its position as one of the leading fiduciaries in the LatAm region.
The announcement by the Central Bank of Uruguay, which regulates the country’s banking and financial system, means Amicorp is now a regulated provider of management and administration services for Private and Public Offering Financial Trusts, as well as for Investment Funds.
As one of only a handful of independent Trustees holding this license in Uruguay, it marks another stamp of approval for the level of service and expertise that Amicorp offers across LatAm and comes at a time when investment in capital markets is expected to grow in the region.
The Uruguay government introduced several new measures recently to attract foreign investment for economic development projects in infrastructure, forestry, agriculture, energy, and real estate, many of which feed off trust structures.
Our comprehensive range of trustee services now comes with added peace of mind for clients, knowing their assets are fully protected by a regulated provider and supported by a team with over 30 years of experience structuring and managing trust administration services.
Our trust services in Uruguay include:
- Trust Guarantee
- Trust Administration
- Real Estate Trust
- Testamentary Trust
- Financial Trust with Public Offering
- Financial Trust with Private Offering
- Investment Fund Manager services
Besides the Investment Fund Manager and Financial Trustee license in Uruguay, Amicorp Group also holds similar trust and agency services licenses in Chile, Argentina, Mexico, and Curaçao to provide a single point of contact for fiduciary services across LatAm.
