Friends and colleagues from across Curaçao once again came together to take part in one of the island's biggest corporate soccer tournaments to raise funds for Tuma Mi Man, a daycare center supporting struggling families.
A total of 24 local teams (20 men's teams and four women's teams) took part in the 12th annual Goals4Kids tournament at the C.V.V.Willemstad sports grounds, cheered on by hundreds of supporters.
The winners of the ladies’ division were the Baker Tilly Wildcats, while the Distriboys from Distribier were crowned this year’s men’s champions.
The two-day event raised over USD 20,000 for Tuma Mi Man, an Amicorp Community Foundation project, that aims to improve the lives of children in Curaçao, ranging from six weeks old all the way up to 12 years. A third of the children who attend the center come from impoverished families, who receive all their care for free, thanks to fundraising efforts like this.
A central part of Goals4Kids is that it is a fun event that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and community spirit, bringing people together in support of a great common cause.
A special thanks goes to this year’s sponsors – @First Abu Dhabi Bank, @C.V.V. Willemstad, @Amicorp Group – along with all the players and supporters who so generously made donations. A special mention also goes to the Warm-up Sports Bar team and all the amazing volunteers that helped make this year’s Goals4Kids event such a huge success.
