The IT System Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining a diverse IT infrastructure within a heterogeneous environment. The role involves planning, preparing, deploying, implementing, and operating system environments across global offices. The engineer will work closely with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software solutions while maintaining defined uptime for IT services.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

  • Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

  • Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and partners.

  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/ operational requirements.

  • Install and configure systems in IT infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications.

  • Strong knowledge & experience in working on Windows 2012 / 2019 server environment with Windows 10 /11 Operating System.

  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and contribute to and maintain system standards. should be aware of basic network configurations, security implementations, voip pbx and storage management.

  • Administer and maintain enterprise IT systems in hybrid/multi-cloud environments.

  • Work with Active Directory, Azure Entra, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file services and security tools like CrowdStrike EDR & Netskope Web Gateway.

  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.

  • Perform daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, while reviewing system and application logs, ensuring the completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, and conducting capacity planning and performance tuning to maintain availability and efficiency.

  • Responsible to keep the IT assets updated and maintained, work with local vendor to opt for quotes with vendors, ISP and telecom provider for maintenance

  • Perform/Monitor daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.

  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.

  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted locations and respond to crisis scenarios in real time.

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities and working knowledge in MS Intune

  • Configure / add new services as necessary.

  • Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends,

  • Upgrade and configure system software that supports IT infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs.

  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.

  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.

  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.

  • Capability to work under time pressure in a dynamic business environment with meeting deadlines.

  • Real time experience of handling a crisis scenario.

  • Strong best practices on ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library a

  • Standardized methodology for IT Infrastructure Management) process knowhow.

  • Act as Help desk Co Ordinator, accept requests for assistance or problem reports from users, obtain necessary information from users to adequately describe the request or problem report,

  • Enter information into the problem tracking system, directly respond to the request or problem if within own areas of expertise. Collaborate and work with IT team and end users.

  • Exposure to Global IT Systems Management/Monitoring Tools/Techniques and exposure to Azure cloud.


OTHER DUTIES



  • Undertake the role of director, trustee, nominee, manager, partner, secretary, authorized signatory or any related position in internal entities or client entities of Amicorp Group, where necessary and required by the Management. Act as funds’ director, compliance officer and / or company secretary, as necessary.

  • Undertake such other duties, related to the position, as may from time to time be agreed with Management.


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience



  • Professionally qualified graduate, preferably with 12 to 15 years of relevant IT experience.

  • Strong hands-on experience in IT Systems, with MS & ITIL certification

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills with analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Working knowledge on different Backup Tools & Patch Management Tools.

  • Good Knowledge on Active Directory, DNS, DHCP & Group policy.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution driven, highly organized and detail-orientated with good decision making and time management skills. Independent, hands-on and takes accountability to deliver solutions and results.

  • Takes initiative, positive and proactive, dedicated, focused and target driven.

  • Excellent client/ stakeholder facing skills. Well-developed spoken and written communication skills and the ability to tailor style to relevant audiences and successfully liaise with people at different levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, solution driven, highly organized and detail-orientated with good decision making and time management skills. Independent, hands-on and takes accountability to deliver solutions and results.

  • Ability to adapt and work under pressure in a smaller, dynamic local team environment; along with being part of a bigger matrix organization. Proven leadership and team player skills, with ambition to excel in the role.

  • Excellent English language fluency: additional languages preferred.

  • Willing to travel within the country and outside the country when required.
