Shared Universe Foundation
The critically endangered black hook lipped rhinoceros and the near threatened white square-lipped species, number no more than 4,000 and 18,000 respectively. More rhinos are poached than are being born. Many of them leave behind their young ones as orphans. Our world class rhino orphanage/conservancy aims to rehabilitate baby rhinos and release them in to the wild thus giving them the best chance to survive and thrive.
Support of the conservancy can be extended in numerous ways, from helping to build a boma (enclosure) to secure a safe environment for the endangered animals to lifetime adoption of a rhino or an elephant. Boma-building programs can be combined with customized corporate events, including teambuilding, personal development and leadership training programs.
Shared Universe helps prevent the rhino and other endangered species from becoming extinct.
Our goal is to create a world class game reserve from converted farmland with a focus on providing education and jobs to the communities and focusing on bio diversity conservation.
The outcome of the project includes a.o.:
- Bomas (enclosures) with temperature regulated stables
- An ICU room
- Camps varying in size
- Temperature controlled food and a milk storage room
- Specially designed dedicated trailer or vehicle
