Carlos Fitte is an Argentine national. He holds an LL.M. in International Economics and a Law degree from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom through a scholarship awarded by the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Additionally, He holds a Law degree with specialization in Corporate Business and a Bachelor in Law from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Carlos has worked in corporate business and taxation since completing his law degree in 1993. His professional experience includes working for Arthur Andersen & Co. Tax and Legal Department in Buenos Aires as an attorney and tax consultant, for Baker & McKenzie Banking and Capital Markets Division in Buenos Aires as a senior associate, and for Curaçao International Trust Company (CITCO) in the Netherlands Antilles as a corporate trust and client relationship manager.
Carlos has significant experience providing advice and assisting Latin American clients with the organization of international estate and corporate tax planning structures. He has worked in the fiduciary service field for more than nine years handling different legal aspects of international investments and transnational corporations, international banking and securities regulation, trade structures and transfer pricing rules, mergers & acquisitions, reorganizations, corporate finance and tax related matters such as withholding taxes on royalties, interest and dividends applied through international tax treaties, inbound-outbound transfers.
In September 2005 Carlos joined Amicorp Group’s Miami Representative Office as marketing director. His area of responsibility included markets such as Colombia, Panama, USA (Miami, Houston and San Antonio), and Argentina. In December 2007 he relocated to Buenos Aires, Argentina where he set up the Amicorp office in Buenos Aires which he currently manages.
Carlos is a member of the Argentine Chevening Alumni Association (ACHA), Warwick Graduate Association, Argentine Council for International Relations (C.A.R.I.), the Buenos Aires Bar Association and the San Isidro Bar Association.
Carlos speaks Spanish and English and has some knowledge of French and Portuguese.
