Located in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, Amicorp Taipei began operations on September 1, 2011 and is the representative office of Amicorp Hong Kong.
Amicorp Taipei is situated in the heart of the central business district, only a few blocks away from the landmark skyscraper, Taipei I01, where most of Taipei’s reputable law firms, CPAs, international banks and the Taiwan Stock Exchange are located.
Since the 1990s, Taiwan has been a major vehicle for European and US companies wishing to do business with China. As a result, Taiwanese companies have gained substantial economic returns.
In 2010, the economic tie between Taiwan and China was further strengthened through a cross-strait economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA), which will gradually remove investment restrictions on Taiwanese companies in industries such as medical, banking and information technology, and will waive custom duties on more than 500 products imported from Taiwan.
Exports are the mainstay of Taiwan’s economy. The members of Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN) have been Taiwan’s major trading partners. China-ASEAN free trade zone arrangements went into effect in January 2010. To establish a gateway to Southeast Asia, Taiwanese companies can take advantage of the ECFAs to enter the ASEAN free trade zone by investing in cities like Guangxi and Yunnan on China's southern border.
In view of further liberalization of investment and trading restriction between China, Taiwan and ASEAN countries, it is expected that economic activities and demand for financial services will increase.
Amicorp Taipei provides all Group products and services, with a focus on transactional services.
