Introduction to Amicorp Zurich

Due to its favourable and solid banking laws, Switzerland has been a popular international private banking centre for many years. It is a jurisdiction well known for having a variety of highly knowledgeable professionals in asset management, tax planning and private banking.

Amicorp Switzerland's office in Zurich serves as a representative office, providing all Amicorp Group services. The office focuses on serving the entire Swiss market of professional intermediaries, in the local language and the languages of their clients. The office also regularly functions as an intermediary for clients located in other parts of the world, obtaining services from private banks, management companies and asset managers throughout Switzerland. We have a highly trained team of lawyers, marketers and other specialists to serve our clients needs.

We work in accordance with Swiss confidentiality rules and we are regulated by SRO PolyReg.

In addition to our main office in Zurich, we have two offices in Zug, where we provide administrative services such as mail forwarding, secretarial services, administration and any support necessary to assist clients with their businesses. We have a full time Amicorp representative in Lugano.

Products and Services

Specific services of Amicorp Switzerland include:
Trustee services: We have a dedicated trust and trustee team and experienced trust lawyers in Zurich that offers Swiss trustee services to clients. We are a relationship office for trusts in New Zealand, Singapore, BVI, and Barbados. In addition, we assist clients to establish dedicated Swiss private trustee companies (PTCs) to act as trustees.

Swiss Companies: There are two commonly used corporate legal entities in Switzerland, the AG (Aktiengesellschaft) and the GmbH (Gesellschaft mit beschrankter Haftung). Both entities divide capital into shares and provide the shareholders limited liability. The AG is the most common legal business entity in Switzerland. The GmbH is relatively less expensive and easier to maintain than the AG, and provides similar features.

Swiss Branches: A Swiss branch is an attractive alternative to establishing a domestic Swiss company. A branch can easily be established by a company located in any other jurisdiction. The basic requirements for establishing a Swiss branch include Swiss business activity, a Swiss resident branch manager and a local registered office in Switzerland.

Other services include marketing experts who can advise and assist with the implementation of BPO, funds administration, transactional services, and ABT. We have dedicated sales officers who can travel in Europe to provide BPO and funds administration services.
