Alvaro is a Chilean national with much international experience in both Latin America as in Europe. He holds a Commercial Engineering Degree from the University of Concepción, Chile, and an MBA in Corporate Finance from IBMEC Business School in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Alvaro started his professional career in Chile after which he moved to the United Kingdom. After having worked there for one year, Alvaro moved to Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he complemented his prior studies with an MBA degree.
In 2003, Alvaro joined Amicorp in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His responsibilities included the management and provision of services to a Chilean and Uruguayan client portfolio. He held sales responsibilities by introducing new clients to Amicorp and by assisting and providing information and international solutions for the mentioned markets.
In 2006, upon the opening Amicorp Chile, Alvaro returned to Chile as General Manager of the Amicorp office in Santiago.
During his professional career, Alvaro has gained valuable experience with diverse taxation matters, such as international tax planning, succession planning, inbound and outbound investment structuring, double income tax treaties and transfer pricing amongst others.
Alvaro is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
